Much like your business, our success came from quite humble beginnings.

Our story begins over 35 years ago (in 1984). When we first came into the industry, we started out by offering insurance to businesses under our brokerage name, Henry Seymour & Co.  After the successful launch of our flagship brand, Salon Gold, we began to see a gaping hole in the insurance industry’s approach to professionals and trade-specific businesses – a frustration that at the time, there were no industry-specific insurance policies for these sectors available online. So, with a new vision and a new aim, we set out to revolutionise the insurance industry’s approach to professionals and trade businesses – and thus Tradesman Saver was born.

We were in the vanguard within the industry by being one of the first brands to offer trade-specific insurance online. With every new trade we were able to insure, our vision grew and changed. It became our mission to simplify the often complex and confusing world of insurance, and make it easier for professionals to get the right insurance for their profession. Everything we have done has been in pursuit of this mission and creating clear, fuss-free insurance policies for our many satisfied customers.

In 2024 we decided that our Tradesman Saver branding was not appealing to professionals, being more focused around construction and manual businesses.  So we created Professional Saver!  With all the benefits, excellent covers and outstanding service enjoyed by our Tradesman Saver customers, we are now able to offer specific insurance tailor-made to professionals.

Through Professional Saver, we hope to help thousands of small businesses get the right insurance. Our comprehensive, no-fuss insurance policies help our customers get exactly what they need, when they need it, and we’re dedicated to using our knowledge of the professional industry to shape the world of insurance for the better.
